DIY DIVA!

Have you ever had that hobby that put you in your happy place and made you relaxed at the same time? For me, making things from scratch or re purposing items around the house is what takes me there. As far back as I can remember I’ve always been an artsy person. Maybe its because I come from a family full of painters and sketchers. I WAS BRED TO DO THIS. Joking, but not really. In my “spare” time, I love to make a plethora of different things. Here’s just a few of my crafts from the last year! I might charge you to see more. LOL!

I made these adorable wreaths for my two older sons’ teachers for the end of the year. Supplies were tulle, wooden letters (I painted them), ribbon for hanging, wooden apple and school bus, and a mini wooden chalk board. The supplies were all purchased at Hobby Lobby.

This next craft is an unconventional gift for Mother’s Day but myself, my mother, and my oldest sister share a love for wine so I knew they would love these! All that was used were scrabble pieces, cork board as the base, and E6000 glue. All supplies can be found at Micheal’s. If you have an iPhone you can download the app and receive awesome coupons that can be scanned right from your phone! I got the idea off of Pinterest http://pinterest.com/source/recyclart.org/.

Of course I couldn’t leave my munchkins out! I’ve had a blast making things to bring a little flava to their room! The whole theme for my kids room is based around play and funny things. I created these monsters as a replica of a pin I found on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/source/vanillajoy.com/.

These super cute canvas can be made into any design of your liking. Just align your crayons in the pattern you want, hot glue them to the canvas, use a blow dryer until you’ve melted the crayons to your liking then voila!

Last but not least I made these adorable wooden peg people for my kids to play with. These are all hand painted by me 🙂 This is how the were before I painted them.
